Naas is Nice. How ’bout Twice

Posted June 20th, 2008 by admin

As we are winding down our time here in Ireland we’ve set our sights back toward Dublin (the car has to be at Dublin Airport Tomorrow). As such we find ourselves tracing back through some familiar territory, just from a different direction. It is amazing how short some distances are, where before it seemed they were vastly far from one another. We made it to Kildare which we meant to go to on bike but¬†decided¬†against. In doing so we found an¬†ancient¬†cathedral, tall tower and the pictured castle. We also passed back through the town of Naas which had been our first stop on the way out (seems so long ago).

This castle looks like it would be really fun to go into. The arched doorway more than half way up looks intriguing. I bet it has an incredible musty smell inside. Wills did you remember to get a piece of a castle for me?
