Why So Few Pictures

Posted June 11th, 2008 by admin

I’ve noticed a few disgruntled comments on the lack of pictures. Please understand we are working with limited technology, all of these updates are being posted from my phone. This means I have no means to upload the awesome and plentiful pictures being taken by Patrick nor the video I am taking until we get back to the US and my computer. The pictures I do post have to be taken from the phone, of which I often have to have last for two days on a single charge as it is also our only real means of navigation. Also due to bandwidth constraints (which I’m already too rapidly using up) and technical limitations I can only post one photo per post anyway. None the less, I will attempt to capture some more interesting photos.

No worries Will, just a crude cave etching from time to time will suffice. Can’t wait to see the vid and photog’s upon your not so eminent return. Here’s one to warm the hearts of your new countrymen while longing at the pub.
A surly English overseer is standing at the entrance to a construction site in London. It’s a filthy wet day. He sees approaching him a shabby figure, with a clay pipe clenched in mouth and a battered raincoat, and scowlingly thinks, Another effing Mick on the scrounge. The Irishman shambles up to him and asks if there’s any casual job going. “You don’t look to me ,” says the supervisor, “as if you know the difference between a girder and a joist.” “I do too,” says the Irishman indignantly, “The first of them wrote Faust and the second one wrote Ulysses.”

    Onward and upward boyz!
