Airport Shenanigans
So we’re here at SFO awaiting our flight which departs nearly 4 hours from now. We arrived and almost¬†immediately¬†were asked the question we dreaded: “You’re going to check your bikes without a box?” We told them we indeed intended to do so and that our bikes were much stronger mountain bikes, as opposed to road bikes. Much to our relief (though not surprise, as we had previously heard Aer Lingus didn’t require bike boxes) they escorted our bikes over to oversize for loading onto the plane with little further protest. We checked one bag each and even made it through the security check point with nearly a full litter of water (a bit more than the “maximum” 3 ounces).
Now feeling like we’ve gotten away with a bit, we are now stuck¬†twiddling¬†our thumbs for the next few hours. We find this completely acceptable however as its much better than what the alternative might have been, had we been forced to disassemble the bikes, buy boxes and possibly¬†disassemble¬†baggage.
God is good.

God is indeed good! We prayed in church that you would have no incident with getting your bikes on, and could do it without having to take them apart or having issues.
I am also planning to pray for your tires, since you (Will) are so prone to getting flats. EVERYONE!!! PRAY THEIR TIRES! ESPECIALLY WILL’S TIRES! (haha!)
🙂
