The Irish seem to have quite a few tragically or at the   very least\u00ac\u2020hilariously\u00ac\u2020named places, such as the Island of Muck, the   town of Stepaside or the river Suck.  This monument is called Hore   Abbey, which dates back to 1270, is\u00ac\u2020actually\u00ac\u2020named after a yew tree.
