We made it.  Our flight was shorter than expected due to being in a 747 and having an ample tail wind all the way here, it took a little over 9 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Once we got through immigration, we took the Underground over to Queensway station, which required three train switches, and we made it without a hitch.  Our hotel called the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thistle.com\/hotels\/united_kingdom\/london\/thistle_kensington_gardens\/index.html\">Thistle<\/a>, was just a brief walk down the street, we are on the 8th floor and have a brilliant view of Hyde park and downtown London.<a href=\"http:\/\/asyouwill.com\/italy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120620-225114.jpg\" style='float:right'><img src=\"http:\/\/asyouwill.com\/italy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120620-225114.jpg\" alt=\"20120620-225114.jpg\" style='float:right' width=\"200px\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After getting settled we decided we needed to take a walk to stay awake (in order to avoid jetlag) so we took a walk through Hyde park and Kensington gardens.  The day was perfect, warm, softly humid, with a gentle breeze fluttering through the leaves of the park.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/asyouwill.com\/italy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120620-230350.jpg\" style='float:left'><img src=\"http:\/\/asyouwill.com\/italy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120620-230350.jpg\" width=\"200px\" alt=\"20120620-230350.jpg\" style='float:left' class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe stopped to see the swans, took a gander at Prince Albert Hall (As heard in the Beatles&#8217; song &#8220;A Day in the Life&#8221;  and took a brief look into Kensington Palace, which we may do more of tomorrow.<a href=\"http:\/\/asyouwill.com\/italy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120620-230415.jpg\" style='float:right'><img src=\"http:\/\/asyouwill.com\/italy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120620-230415.jpg\" width=\"200px\" alt=\"20120620-230415.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" style='float:right' \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After that, we crashed back at the hotel for a few hours, then went to dinner at a near by Chinese restaurant around 9:30 (Thankfully it stays light until about 10:20 pm this time of year)<\/p>\n<p>Have a great day friends, tomorrow should bring more excitement, since we should be fully rested from the flight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And&#8230;.
